Toby Keith in Concert

Toby Keith picture.Last Thursday night, I was surrounded by loud music, crazy people, and beer. That’s because I was at a Toby Keith concert. I know Toby isn’t the biggest artist on the planet or anything, but he is my favorite singer and I wanted to see him in concert. The show was at the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Birmingham, AL. After me and my dad got in we took our seats and had a great view. The show started at 7:30 by two groups, Trailer Choir and Carter’s Chord,  on Toby’s record label singing for about ten minutes each. Then at 8:00, the big show started with another one of my favorite groups, Montgomery Gentry. They sang songs such as Gone, Something to Be Proud Of, Back When I Knew It All, Lucky Man, What Do Ya Think About That, and more. Then at 9:15, a video came on which starred Toby as he gave us a tour of the set of his new movie, Beer for My Horses. Then he came out and the party started. He sang hits such as Should’ve Been a Cowboy, How Do You Like Me Now, I Wanna Talk About Me, Beer for My Horses, I Love This Bar, Whiskey Girl, American Soldier, As Good As I Once Was, Get Drunk and Be Somebody, High Maintance Woman, She’s A Hottie, and many more. He wrapped up the show at 11:00 with my favorite song, Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue. I left that concert with my blood circulating fast and being reaaly hyper. I was asleep within the next hour. I really loved his concert and I hope I can see him again next year. Here is the teaser trailer for his upcoming movie, Beer for My Horses.

DANG IT!

Step Brothers poster.Well, the MPAA has done it to me again. This time it’s the movie Step Brothers. I already had to skip Ferrell’s Semi-Pro because of an R rating and now I get to skip this one too. It was rated R for crude and sexual content and pervasive language. Now, I get to mark this off my To See list this summer along with Tropic Thunder also rated R. I was so hoping this would somehow get a PG-13, but I guess I was wrong. This movie looked very funny and you can look for my review of it August 2009. Rated R logo.
